Commack Dominates National Dance Competition

The Commack Cougarettes are national champions.

The team took home two number one titles at the National Dance Alliance Championship in Orlando, Fla. over the weekend.

Commack placed first in the categories of Large Varsity Kick, earning an almost flawless score of 9.58. The girls also earned the technical excellence award in the category.

The Cougarettes also placed first in the medium varsity jazz category, earning a score of 9.365. The team also took home the superior showmanship award for that category.

Commack went on to place third in Hip Hop and ninth for its varsity pom routine. In addition, the team earned the innovative chorography award in the medium varsity hip hop division.
