Let me start by saying I am an educator and have people inside the Commack schools that I talk to. Because of laws, the board can’t talk about many things people say on Facebook and, as you see, there are lots of rumors on Facebook right now about how they reassigned the English administrator. According to Facebook posts, the English administrator disagreed with Dr. James about a book so he was reassigned, his tenure taken away and more. Anyone can check education law that even the all mighty (sarcasm) Dr. James can’t take someone’s tenure just because they disagree with him. The English guy still has a job paying more than $165,000 you can check his contract on the website, in an office where they need him as they downsize, is on a tenure track ++. Also, Commack reassigned at least 3 other administrators this year, some getting the same deal as the English administrator got and they are all doing there job without complaint. Isn’t that what good businesses do, put people where they need them?
He didn’t like being reassigned and reportedly lost his temper, came unhinged, yelling and ranting in the school building on more than one occasion. Now after the lies he has spewed, he says he needs money for legal fees and has a GoFundMe page when his union has a lawyer they give him for free, ask him! Now the board has to pay lawyers to defend against these lies. There must be a law to protect taxpayers against frivolous lawsuits.
Commack, you decide. The board and Dr James that have never broken the law before and have been reassigning administrators for years as the schools get smaller or the “stories” on Facebook?
