E-Bike Rider Dies In Hit-And-Run Crash In Suffolk: PD
The crash took place Friday night, police say.
COMMACK, NY — An e-bike rider was killed in a Commack crash Friday night, police said.
According to Suffolk County police, the crash took place on Hauppauge Road at 11:57 p.m.
A man was riding an e-bike eastbound on Hauppauge Road, when he was struck from behind by a small white SUV, also traveling eastbound, in front of 68 Hauppauge Road; the driver then fled

The man, whose name is being withheld pending notification of next of kin, was transported to Good Samaritan Hospital Medical Center in West Islip, where he was pronounced dead, police said.
