Tuesday's deep freeze led to a water main break on Val Court in Commack, the Suffolk County Water Authority reported.
Intense cold takes a serious toll on water pipe lines, as the pipe material expands and contracts, weakening the pipes.
The SCWA told Newsday that the break was repaired by 2 p.m.
