IRS Looks to Refund Six Residents
Six residents have not received their 2009 refunds, based on a release by the Internal Revenue Service.

The Internal Revenue Service (IRS) is looking for six people in Commack who did not receive their tax refund for last year, according to a statement.
In New York state, there are 9,662 residents who did not receive their funds based on incorrectly listed addresses, according to Dianne Besuunder, IRS spokeswoman for New York.
"We want New Yorkers to get this money as soon as possible. If you think you are missing a tax refund, take a few minutes to go on IRS.gov or call the toll free IRS refund Hotline," she said.

The average undeliverable refund is $2,471 this year, compared with $1,581 last year and some taxpayers are due more than one check, according to Besunder.
The IRS recommends that taxpayers update their address information on the website and sign up for direct deposit so that they can receive the funds into financial accounts, their bank or buy savings bonds.
