Local Cat Goes Missing Near Country Woods In Commack

Commack, N.Y. — Jessica Makin of Commack is looking for her cat, pictured above, after he ran away early Thursday morning.

According to her Facebook post, the cat ran away in an area known as Country Woods, near the border of Commack and Kings Park.

He is five years old, black with a white patch on his belly, and a blue collar. He's been implanted with a microchip, so if he his brought to a vet he will be properly identified.

Makin notes that last time he escaped, it took him 16 days to find his way home.
