Men Tried Using Counterfeit Bill At Spirit Halloween In Commack: PD

COMMACK, NY — Suffolk County Crime Stoppers is seeking the public's help finding the two men who, police said, tried to use counterfeit money in August.

Two men entered Spirit Halloween, at 5025 Jericho Turnpike, Commack, at 6 p.m. Aug. 22 and tried to use a counterfeit $100 bill to pay for merchandise, police said. The transaction was denied by an employee of the store, police said. The men are wanted for counterfeit.

Police ask anyone with information to reach Suffolk County Crime Stoppers and leave an anonymous tip via phone call at 1-800-220-TIPS, using a mobile app which can be downloaded through the App Store or Google Play by searching P3 Tips, or online at www.P3Tips.com. A cash reward is offered for information that leads to an arrest.
