Motorcyclist Dies In Commack Collision: Police

The motorcyclist died at the scene after he was hit by a car making a left turn, police say.

COMMACK, NY — A motorcyclist was killed in a collision with a car in Commack on Monday afternoon, Suffolk police said.

A 51-year-old Hauppauge woman was driving a 2020 Volkswagen westbound on Jericho Turnpike when she tried to make a left turn into a parking lot, at 6070 Jericho Turnpike, and collided with a 2017 Kawasaki motorcycle being driven eastbound at 4:15 p.m., police said.

The motorcyclist, Jordan Aristondo, 22, of Commack, died at the scene, police said.

The Volkswagen driver was not injured, police said.

Both vehicles were impounded for safety checks. Anyone with information about this crash was asked to contact Second Squad detectives at 631-854-8252.
