New Bakery Coming to Route 25

A new bakery is coming to town.

According to a building notice on the corner storefront of the Morewood Shopping Center, on the Commack/Smithtown border, Buon Amici Bakery, will be moving in.

The bakery was granted a building permit at 975 West Jericho Tpke. To make floor alterations to the 3,100-square-foot mezzanine, as well as plumbing an electrical updates.

Buon Amici, which is Italian for "good friends," will move in next to the center's nail salon.

It is unclear when the store will open. No one from the bakery was able to be reached for comment.
