The news magazine ranked just over 1,600 schools, or roughly the top six percent in the nation.
Commack comes in at 805 on the list.

Topping off Nassau County is Jericho, which ranked at No. 34. The top rated school in Suffolk is Harborfields at No. 285.
Other Suffolk County schools making the list are Port Jefferson, Hauppauge, Hills West, Hills East, Mattituck, Northport, Miller Place, Westhampton, Southampton, Pierson, East Hampton, Babylon, Ward Melville, John Glenn, Mt. Sinai, and Walt Whitman.
