Police ID Woman Killed Crossing Northern State Parkway

On Friday afternoon, State Police identified the woman who was killed Wednesday, as she was walking across Northern State Parkway shortly after 6 a.m., as Coram resident Shelia Robinson.

Police are still investigating why Robinson, 50, was attempting to cross the parkway, which occurred on the westbound side between exits 42 and 43.

Authorities said Robinson was struck by three vehicles during the crash, which so far have resulted in no criminal charges.

Northern State Parkway was closed for over four hours as police conducted preliminary investigations. The case remains under investigation.
