Teen Dies in Auto Accident on Crooked Hill Road
Deer Park resident Javon Toombs was killed when he crossed the divider and struck an oncoming vehicle Tuesday.

A teen driver was killed Tuesday morning when his car collided with an oncoming vehicle near the Commack-Brentwood border, police said.
Javon Toombs, 18, was driving a 1995 Honda south on Crooked Hill Road when Suffolk police say he crossed the divider and struck a freight truck at 7:50 a.m.
Toombs, of Deer Park, was pronounced dead at the scene of the crash by a member of the Suffolk County Medical Examiner's office.

The driver of the truck, who police identified as Ricardo Cruz-Pena, 42, of Corona, was not injured.
Police said the Honda and the freight truck are undergoing safety checks.
