Whiz Kid: Commack Senior Earns Eagle Scout Distinction
Christopher Zambito was named an Eagle Scout by Boy Scout Troop 125 on April 9.

Accomplishment: Christopher Zambito was promoted to Eagle Scout in a ceremony on April 9. As part of his Eagle Scout community service project, Zambito led a team of a dozen people to build a wheelchair-accessible pathway at one of the main buildings of the Western Suffolk BOCES and SCOPE Outdoor Learning Lab. He also planned and constructed a wheelchair-accesible picnic area. The project took 19 months to complete.

Outside of the scouts, Zambito is actively involved in Commack High School's International Baccalaureate Program, as well as the Young Republicans club and the National Engineer Design Challenge.
