5 Library Events Happening This Week

Find out what's happening at the North Babylon and Deer Park Libraries this week.

1. Chinese New Year Craft: Kids can kick off the chinese New Year by decorating their own snake craft at the Deer Park Public Library on Tuesday at noon. Open to Deer Park Library cardholders only. Children under 11 must have an adult with them.

2. Knitting Club: Novice and advanced knitters are welcome to join this knitting club, led by Roberta. The group meets Tuesday at 7 p.m. at the North Babylon Library.

3. Valentine Cupcakes: Learn how to make cupcakes for Valentine's Day Wednesday at 6:30 p.m. at the Deer Park Library.

4. Preschool Storytime: Kids can enjoy stories, songs and a craft on Wednesday at the North Babylon Library. Groups for ages 2 and 3 begin at 10:30 a.m., while ages 3 to 5 begin at 2 p.m. Open to North Babylon patrons only.

5. Valentine Craft: Preteens and teens grades 6 through 12 can create a Valentine's Day-themed picture frame on Wednesday at 7 p.m. at the North Babylon Library. Open to North Babylon residents only.
