5 Library Events Happening This Week

Find out what's happening at the North Babylon and Deer Park Libraries this week.

1. Knitting Club: Novice and advanced knitters are welcome to join this knitting club, led by Roberta. The group meets Tuesday at 7 p.m. at the North Babylon Library.

2. Vote: On Tuesday, the North Babylon Library will hold its annual budget and trustee election. Patrons can vote from 1 p.m. to 9 p.m. in the meeting room. To find out if you're registered to vote, click here.

3. Vote: The Deer Park Library will also hold its election Tuesday. Voting is open from 10 a.m. to 8 p.m. To find out if you're registered to vote, click here.

4. Therapy Dogs International: Children can practice their reading skills by reading aloud to therapy dog Hunter at the Deer Park Library on Thursday at 4:30 p.m. Registration required.

5. Chair Yoga: Chair yoga takes place on Friday at 9:30 a.m. at the North Babylon Library. The routine incorporates yoga poses seated on the chair, as well as standing using the chair for support. The class is appropriate for students that have issues with balance, problems getting on and off the floor, as well as joint issues.
