Father Who Took Baby Without Permission Arrested
Police say Bryan Quinteros fled with his son after a fight with the boy's mother on Wednesday. It triggered an Amber Alert.

UPDATE 4:15 p.m. Thursday: With the assistance of the Nassau County Police Department Bureau of Special Operations, Bryan Quinteros was arrested in Uniondale Thursday afternoon, Suffolk Police said. Quinteros with is charged with criminal contempt and endangering the welfare of a child. He will be held overnight at the First Precinct and is scheduled for arraignment at First District Court in Central Islip on Friday.
UPDATE 8:45 p.m Wednesday: Daniel Quinteros has been located unharmed, police said. An acquaintance brought the baby to the his mother’s house. Bryan Quinteros has not yet been located.
DEER PARK, NY – An Amber Alert has issued for a 6-month-old boy who was taken by his father without permission in Deer Park Wednesday afternoon.

Following a physical altercation with the baby’s mother at approximately 2:30 p.m. at the Tanger Outlets located at 152 The Arches Circle, 19-year-old Bryan Quinteros took the baby, Daniel Quinteros, and threatened not to bring him back.
Daniel is Hispanic, with brown hair and brown eyes. He is about 19 pounds, 11 ounces, and 28-inches long. He was last seen wearing a black and white horizontal striped onesie and black sweatpants.

Bryan Quinteros, who lives in Brentwood according to his Facebook page, is described as Hispanic, about 5-foot-10, with brown hair and brown eyes. He is approximately 250 pounds. He was last seen driving a 2019 Honda Civic with New York license plate number JEZ-1680.
Amber Alerts are activated when a child is believed to be in danger of serious bodily harm or death.
Anyone with information on the whereabouts of either Bryan or Daniel Quinteros should call 911, First Squad detectives at 631-854-8152 or anonymously to Crime Stoppers at 1-800-220-TIPS.
