Carjacking, Assault Hospitalizes LI Man In Critical Condition: PD

DEER PARK, NY — A Deer Park man was hospitalized in critical condition after being assaulted when his car was stolen on Wednesday night, according to Suffolk County police.

Police said the man was sitting in a 2009 Mitsubishi on Brook Avenue around 8:30 p.m. when multiple people removed him, physically assaulted him and stole the vehicle.

According to a report by News12, the victim, a 65-year-old disabled man, was transported to South Shore University Hospital in critical condition where he is currently on a ventilator and in a coma.
