The Deer Park Board of Education meeting, originally slated for Tuesday, has been postponed until Thursday, Feb. 28. The change in schedule is due to the boys varsity basketball team making the finals. The Falcons take on the Northport Tigers on Tuesday at 7:30 p.m. at Longwood High School in Middle Island. Thursday's meeting, held at 8 p.m. in the district office, will include an introduction to the development of the 2013-2014 school budget. Subsequent budget worksessions will take place throughout March and April. Patch will post Thursday's agenda as soon as it is made available.
