The Deer Park School District will hold a budget planning meeting Tuesday at the district administration office at 7:30 p.m. Budget codes detailing legal services, personnel, central services, buildings and grounds and instruction will be presented. The district's draft budget for 2013-2014 includes a 2.57 percent tax levy hike. In a previous budget session, staff cuts were proposed in order to close a $2.8 million budget gap. The budget vote will take place on Tuesday, May 21 from 7 a.m. to 9 p.m.
