Rebecca Fox, a sixth grader at Robert Frost Middle School recently competed in the Long Island regional spelling bee at Hofstra University.  Fox competed against students from more than 100 schools across Nassau and Suffolk Counties in the competition, which was part of the ScrippsNational Spelling Bee program. Fox finished strong, taking 18th place in the competition. Previously, she won Robert Frost's spelling bee, in which students gain entrance through a written test administered by the school's English department to each classroom.
