Deer Park Student Musicians Chosen to Perform in Regional Ensembles

Students across the district are hitting the right note.

A number of student musicians in the  Deer Park School District are excelling in their schools' music programs and have been recognized by regional ensembles.

Four students within the district were chosen for the 2013 Long Island String Festival. From Deer Park High School, Kalvin Guyer and Noah Roff were chosen. Maya Kovic of Robert Frost Middle School and Catie Wilkonski of John F. Kennedy Intermediate School will also join the ensemble. Selection to a LISFA ensemble is based on superior scores at the annual New York State School Music Association solo festivals and school music teacher recommendations.
