Deer Park Students Participate in Healthy Snack Festival
Primary students throughout the district sampled foods and learned about eating healthy.
To educate students on healthy snack options, and to celebrate National Nutrition Month, John F. Kennedy Intermediate School hosted a Healthy Snack Festival.
Students visited stations set up throughout the cafeteria which featured visual displays and were able to taste samples from a variety of food groups, including grains, fruits and vegetables.
The district’s food service provider, Aramark, sponsored the event, which was held at all of the primary schools.
