Food Network Producer Visits North Babylon TV Students
Students received professional feedback and real-world advice during a studio visit from Food Network producer Steven Roth.
NORTH BABYLON, NY — Students in North Babylon High School’s TV Broadcast II class recently received an inside look at the television industry during a special visit from Steven Roth, a writer and producer for the Food Network.
Roth spent time in the school’s television studio reviewing recent NBTV student productions and offering detailed, high-level feedback on their writing, filming, and editing. He shared professional standards used in broadcast television, along with practical tips students can apply to upcoming projects.
During the session, Roth discussed storytelling, pacing, and technical decision-making, giving students a clearer understanding of how classroom skills translate to real-world media production. The visit also allowed students to ask questions about career paths in television and the expectations of working in the industry.
