Man Found Dead In Long Island Backyard

The man's death appears criminal in nature, police say.

BAYWOOD, NY – Suffolk County Police Homicide Squad detectives are investigating the death of a man who was found in the backyard of an unoccupied house in Baywood Sunday morning.

A person went to check on the house at 1211 Udall Road and discovered an adult male dead in the backyard at 10:23 a.m.

The man, whose identity is being withheld pending notification of next of kin, suffered a wound to his head. The exact cause of death, which appears criminal, will be determined by the Office of the Suffolk County Medical Examiner, police said.
