Monday's Events: What's Happening Locally

Mother Goose program for youngsters and Adult Game Day are on tap today at the local libraries.

Welcome to a new week that will be an important and busy one in Deer Park and North Babylon. As mothers across our communities continue to bask in the glow of their much-deserved day on Sunday, Patch wants to give everyone a glimpse of what’s happening today.

The is holding its Mother Goose program at 10 a.m. The free program is designed for parents and youngsters less than two years of age.

For those looking to spend some time with friends, the is hosting Adult Game Day beginning at 1 p.m. The library provides the space, tables and chairs and participants are asked to bring a board game or two, cards and their friends. Coffee and tea will be service.

Local residents interested in organic gardening may head to Copiague tonight for a free class held by the Town of Babylon Farmers Market Project. Beginning at 7 p.m. topics will cover gardening principals for growing vegetables organically. The program will be held at 67 Scudder Ave. and is free. With the spring high school sports regular season coming to a close, the varsity softball teams for Deer Park and North Babylon will meet today at 4 p.m. at North Babylon High School.
