Monday's Events: Jazz, Lax and Organic Gardening
Something for those young and old highlight today's list of events around town.

Hello Monday. Another weekend has passed and folks in Deer Park and North Babylon are starting another workweek. Across our communities there are a few things happening to ease everyone into a new week.
The is hosting its Mother Goose program for parents and their little ones up to 2 years of age. The fun gets started this morning at 10 a.m.
Over at the Adult Game Day starts at 1 p.m. The library provides the space, tables and chairs; game players bring their friends, board games or cards. Coffee and tea will be served.

Those looking for an afternoon of free music may head up 231 to Dix Hills for a performance by the Five Towns College Jazz Ensemble. The group will perform a set list that includes jazz, blues, American Songbook standards and more. The music gets started at 5 p.m.
Free organic gardening classes are being held at 7 p.m. at the Fellowship Hall facilities of the Christ Covenant Church, 67 Scudder Ave. in Copiague. The classes are being held in conjunction with the Town of Babylon Farmers Market Project.

In local high school sports action the North Babylon High School girls varsity lacrosse team will be at home vs. Sachem North, while the Deer Park High School varsity baseball team hits the road to face Comsewogue. Both games start at 4 p.m.
