Police Nab Three in Deer Park Jewelry Heist

Suffolk County Police have arrested three people in connection to a burglary of a Deer Park Jewelry story early Friday morning.
According to police, Adrian Roberts, 19, of Copiague; Montavious Jackson, 21, of North Amityville; and Ciara Young, 22, of Amityville are each charged with Third Degree Burglary for their alleged roles in a break in at at 1864 Deer Park Ave.
Police said the three were apprehended early Friday morning at around 3 a.m. by First Precinct Officer Kathleen Lubey after she observed a 2000 Honda According traveling south on Deer Park Ave. with its lights off. Lubey was in the area responding to an alarm call for a possible burglary in progress at Liberty Jewelers.

When Lubey stopped the vehicle, police said she found the three in possession of proceeds from the burglary and placed them under arrest.
Roberts, Jackson and Young are scheduled to appear at First District Court in Central Islip on June 16. Detectives are asking anyone who may have witnessed the burglary to call the First Squad at 631-854-8152.
