Regal Cinemas Issues Statement Following Colorado Shooting

Following Friday’s shooting at a Colorado movie theater during a showing of The Dark Night Rises that left 12 dead and dozens injured, Regal Cinemas issued a statement following the tragedy:

“We're profoundly saddened by the tragedy that occurred at a Denver-area theatre, and are concerned for the victims and their families. The security and safety of our guests and staff is always our number-one priority. As is our custom we'll continue to monitor the situation and adjust our security needs as necessary. In the meantime our thoughts and prayers go out to the victims and their families.”

Regal operates the Regal Deer Park Stadium 16 and IMAX at Tanger Outlets. According to its website, The Dark Night Rises is playing at the theater with several showings sold out.
