Talk Back: Texas Roadhouse Coming to Deer Park

On Wednesday, that Texas Roadhouse, a national steakhouse chain, would be breaking ground soon and opening its first Suffolk County location in Deer Park.

Scheduled for an October grand opening, the restaurant will be located near Tanger Outlets.

A company spokesperson said that the restaurant will employ upwards of 170 people and hiring will begin one to two months prior to grand opening.

On the Deer Park-North Babylon Patch Facebook page, news of the coming eatery was liked by six of our readers. However, a few others were less than positive about Texas Roadhouse opening up shop in Deer Park.

Reader Melissa Ruiz commented, “More traffic…yay!”

Ginna Dawson Borah wrote, “Super; now I will never get down Nichols Road.”

The possibility of the additional cars in the area was something that Carol Bornstein-Sebok was also concerned about. “More playing in traffic. Ugh!” she wrote.
