Thursday's Events: What's Happening Locally

Come meet the Patch team at Panera from 11 a.m. to 2 p.m.

As we pass the middle of another week, Thursday brings with it a number of events and activities in Deer Park and North Babylon.

If you’re heading out to lunch today, stop by the North Babylon on Deer Park Ave. The Patch editorial and sales teams will be there from 11 a.m. to 2 p.m. meeting local residents and talking about Patch. Those who sign up for our daily newsletter will be given a free cup of coffee and be entered to win a free loaf of bread for a year courtesy of Panera. Come by and say hello.

Fun for Four and Five Year Olds will be held at 4:30 p.m. and includes storytime fun featuring books, songs, rhymes and activities. Separation program parents are expected to remain in the building for the duration of the program.

Pajama Storytime for children up to kindergarten age will be held at 7 p.m. Youngsters are encouraged to wear their pajamas as they visit the library for sleepy-time stories and songs.

The North Babylon Board of Education will hold its first regular meeting since Tuesday’s budget vote tonight at 8 p.m. at .

Down Deer Park Ave. in Babylon Village, Good Samaritan Hospital Medical Center will hold its Breast Feeding Support Group at 1 p.m. at its satellite office located at 661 Deer Park Ave. Bring your baby. Walk-ins are welcome.
