Thursday's Events: What's Happening Locally
The libraries in Deer Park and North Babylon are hosting numerous fun-filled activities for local families.

For those looking for something to do around our fine hamlets today, the local libraries offer a number of choices.
At the Fun for Four and Five Year Olds will be held at 4:30 p.m. The class features storytime fun featuring books, songs, rhymes and activities. As a reminder, separation program parents are expected to remain in the library for the duration of the program.
Children in second grade and up can enjoy an evening of Beach Blanket Bingo, which begins at 7:15 a.m. Participants are asked to bring a beach blanket for a fun-filled night with friends and the librarians in the Children’s Room.

Dr. Shirley Espinoza, C.D., will lead the discussion What Your Feet Can Tell You About Your Health starting at 7 p.m. She will explain how imbalances in the feet can contribute to problems in knees, hips and back. A digital foot screening will be provided for those interested.
Also, the Knitting Group will reconvene from 2 p.m. to 4 p.m. This is an informal get-together for both novice and expert.

At the the Crochet Club will get together from 7 p.m. to 9 p.m. Bring your projects and questions for Joan.
The library will also host Pre-School Storytime for youngsters ages three to five at 10:30 a.m. Parents are encouraged to join the library for stories, songs, crafts and parachute fun with your little one.
