Thursday's Events: What's Happening Locally
Libraries in North Babylon and Deer Park will be bustling with activity today.

Thursday will be a busy day at the local libraries as both are hosting a number of programs.
At the , Preschool Storytime will be held at 10:30 a.m. Parents and preschoolers are invited to join the library for stories, songs, crafts and parachute fun.
The library’s Crochet Club will meet at 7 p.m. Whether experienced or looking to learn, this is the club for you. Participants are asked to bring their projects and questions for crochet expert Joan Jewhurst.

Over at the , youngsters may make a present for Mother’s Day. A Deer Park Library Card is needed to receive materials and the child needs to be present to participate. The program will be held Thursday 10:30 a.m. to 8 p.m., Friday 10:30 a.m. to 4:30 p.m. and Saturday 10:30 a.m. to 4 p.m.
In addition, Fun for Four and Five Year Olds will be held at the library at 4:30 p.m. Enjoy storytime fun featuring books, songs, rhymes and activities. Separation program parents are asked to remain in the building for the duration of the program.

A Chinese Auction will be held at in Deer Park beginning at 6 p.m. Head over to the school for food, friends and fun at Lincoln’s final fundraising event of the school year. Cost is $20 per person and includes a buffet dinner, beverages and DJ.
