Tuesday's Events: What's Happening Locally
Today's highlights include a summer cooking class and Mother Goose program both at the Deer Park Library.

Today is another busy day across Deer Park and North Babylon
At the Deer Park Public Library Chef Charlie returns for another installment of Cooking with Charlie at 6:30 p.m. Tonight the chef will focus on preparing light meals to take to the beach. The program is open to adult residents of Deer Park only.

The Mother Goose Fair will also be held at the library from 11 a.m. to 2 p.m. Designed for children less than Kindergarten age, the program will include rhyme-time activities, crafts and games celebrating Mother Goose. The program will be held in the Children’s Room.
At the North Babylon Public Library registration is now open for all children’s programming. The programs are available to all North Babylon School District residents with a valid library card.

The Marion G. Vedder Parent Teacher Association Executive Board will meet tonight, 7:30 p.m. at the elementary school. Also at Marion Vedder, a book sale will be held throughout the day.
In Deer Park, the Abraham Lincoln school is holding parent-teacher conferences today and tomorrow. A book fair is also being held as well at the school.
On the sports side, several North Babylon teams will be in action. The boys tennis team will be home against Lindenhurst, the girls lacrosse team will be home against Longwood, the baseball team welcomes Hauppauge, the softball team will be at Smithtown West and the boys lacrosse team welcomes Smithtown East. All games are scheduled for 4 p.m.
