Wednesday's Events: What's Happening Locally

Storytime for preschoolers and gift making for mom highlight hump day.

It’s hump day. And while the warm spring weather we spoke of during Monday’s daily events struggles to stay with us, there are several events happening locally on Wednesday that should take your mind off the clouds blocking out the Sun.

The is holding Pre-School Storytime at 10:30 a.m. Parents and pre-schoolers are invited to join in for a morning of stories, songs, crafts and parachute fun. After all those activities, a good nap will surely be needed.

If you’ve forgotten that Mother’s Day is Sunday, the North Babylon Library has a gift solution for you. Students grades six to 12 can design an “I Love You” chocolate candy bar for mom at 7 p.m. Open only to North Babylon School District residents, the program uses squeeze bottles with brightly colored chocolate that can be filled with more chocolate. Sounds delicious!
