Good Samaritan Hospital is holding a blood drive and several support groups today.

Hump day is here, which means we’re half way to Memorial Day weekend and the unofficial start of summer 2012.

Pre-School Storytime will be held at the . The class for youngsters ages two and three will be held at 10:30 a.m. and the class for youngsters ages three to five will be held at 2 p.m. Join the library for stories, songs, crafts and parachute fun.

At the , a celebration of author Margaret Wise Brown will be held at 10:30 a.m. Youngsters are invited to remember Brown, who wrote the bedtime classic “Goodnight Moon,” with activities and crafts.
Also at the Deer Park Library, a board of trustees meeting will be held at 7:30 p.m.

Good Samaritan Hospital Medical Center in West Islip will be hosting several events today. A blood drive will be held until 9 p.m. Head to the hospital and help out a neighbor.
The “Life Goes On” Cancer Support Group will be held at 11 a.m. The meeting is open to the general public. In addition, the hospital’s Breast Cancer Support will be held at 7 p.m.
