Clothing, shoes, medical supplies, food and cash will all be delivered to Haiti as soon as possible, church officials said.

FLATBUSH, BROOKLYN — Flatbush's Fernande Valme Ministries is collecting medical supplies, clothing, shoes, money and food to send to Haiti in the wake of the destruction caused there this week by Hurricane Matthew.

Fernande Vale, located at 1120 Flatbush Ave., operates a school, hospital and church in Léogâne, a small coastal hamlet in the country.

Over the coming days, any and all donations can be taken directly to the Flatbush church. The building will be open from 7:30 a.m. to 7 p.m. on Saturday, Oct. 8, as well as during those hours on Tuesday, Wednesday, Thursday and Friday.

Church officials said that as soon as a sufficient quantity of supplies have been donated, they'll coordinate a delivery trip to Haiti, where the goods will be used to help anyone in need.
