1. Meet Johanne Brierre, the founder of BKLYN Commons in Flatbush. Opened in 2016 it's a co-working space for the community, that houses over 300 small businesses. Brierre more recently opened NYBeauty Suite, a similar concept specific to entrepreneurs in the beauty industry. (Amsterdam News)
2. A crash on Flatbush Avenue into a small business called Pumpkin sent three to the hospital with non-life threatening injuries. The crash unfolded just before 3 a.m. yesterday. (NYC Patch)
3. Expect to see more police on the subways, according to Mayor Eric Adams, who said he wants them to be "omnipresent." Police are now going to be partnered up with "safe option support teams" that will conduct outreach to homeless individuals. Adams, who made the announcement alongside Governor Hochul, said the increased police presence doesn't necessarily mean increased crack-downs. (NYC Patch)
