- Film director Emma Francis-Snyder, Brooklyn College '15, was shortlisted for a 2022 Oscar nomination for "Best Documentary Short Subject." The documentary tells the real story of Bronx activists in the 1970s who took over Lincoln Hospital and demanded a patient's bill of rights. It was partially shot on the Brooklyn College campus.
