Woman Raped Near Glenwood and E. 27th

NYPD are hoping the public can help identify the man responsible.

 

Police are seeking the public's assistance in finding a man wanted in connection to a rape that allegedly took place within the 70th Precinct. 

On Saturday, Feb. 2, at approximately 09:45 a.m., a young woman, 22, was approached by an unknown individual near the intersection of East 27 Street and Glenwood Road. "The stranger then forcibly took the victim to an alleyway and raped her," cops reported. The victim was also robbed of personal property.

Police describe the suspect as as "male, black, in his mid-20s, approximately 5'6"-5'7", 160 lbs., with a medium build and bald head." He was last seen wearing a blue NY Yankees baseball hat with a white brim and dark gray jacket.
