Video: East Village Attackers Leave Man Critically Hurt, Cops Say
Police are looking for two men who punched a man multiple times in the face and shoved him to the ground in the East Village.

EAST VILLAGE, NY — Two men took turns punching a man in the face, both knocking him to the ground, before one dragged him across the pavement in the East Village, police say and video shows.
The attack left the man in critical condition with a fractured skull, police said.
A 46-year-old man was standing on the corner of East 4th Street and 2nd Avenue around 3:40 a.m. on May 19, when an attacker approached him from behind, grabbed him by his head, and threw him to the ground, video released by police on Tuesday shows.

The attacker stands over him and points a finger in his face, before delivering one more hit to the face, video shows.
Moments later, the 46-year-old is standing again but another man runs up to him from behind and hits him in the face — sending him to the cement again, video shows.

Once on the ground, the attacker delivers another punch to the man's face, police said.
The second attacker then drags the man across the pavement, in what appears to be an attempt to get him out of the street and back onto the sidewalk, video shows.

NYPD did not give any information about the events that might have transpired before the two attacks, or if the men knew each other.
