East Village Bar Death And Co. Named One Of America's Best
Death & Co., an upscale East Village bar, was named one of America's best by Esquire.
EAST VILLAGE, NY — Death & Co., the East Village watering hole that's been serving intricately made cocktails in a poorly lit space for a decade, made it onto a list of America's best bars.
Esquire named the bar, located at 433 E. Sixth St., one of the 24 best in the U.S. for 2017. Death & Co. opened in the neighborhood on New Year's Eve in 2006 and has changed its expansive menu about twice a year since then, according to its website.
Sip on our Concrete Jungle tonight created by @matthewsbelanger. New to the Transformation menu, this shaken drink is a mix of Elijah Craig Bourbon, Yaguara Ouro Cachaça, Orgeat, Mango, Cholula, and Lemon.

Its menu boasts dozens of different cocktails, ranging from the standards to new inventions. A normal mixed drink has a list price of about $16, but if you head over to the "luxury" section of the menu tipplers will find more extravagant drinks ranging from $22 to $34 in price.
