Knifeman Stabs, Robs Woman At East Village Apartment, Police Say
Police say they are searching for a man who stabbed a woman after pushing his way into her apartment.

EAST VILLAGE, NY — A knifeman stabbed and then robbed an East Village woman on Sunday night after knocking on her front door and pushing his way inside her home, police said.
The unknown man knocked at the woman's apartment, located near the intersection of Avenue B and East 13th Street, at about 8:30 p.m. on Sunday, an NYPD spokesman told Patch. The man shoved his way inside when she partially opened the door before repeatedly stabbing the woman in her torso, hand and arms, the spokesman said. (Want more local news? The knifeman grabbed about $500 in cash from the woman's home before fleeing, authorities said.

The woman, 31, was treated at a nearby hospital for her injuries. Police are still searching for the man and no one has been arrested as of Monday afternoon, according to authorities.
