Would-Be Rapist Follows Woman Into East Village Home: NYPD
A man pushed a woman into her East Village apartment building and tried to sexually assault her, police said Tuesday.

EAST VILLAGE, NY — A man pushed a woman into her East Village apartment and tried to sexually assault her, police said Tuesday night.
The man crept up behind the 23-year-old woman inside of her building near 11th Street and Third Avenue about 11:40 p.m. Sunday, police said.
The attacker pushed her into her apartment, tried to sexually assault her, then snatched her wallet and ran away, police said.

The attempted attack has troubling similarities to the death of Christina Yuna Lee, who was followed into her Chinatown building and apartment in February and stabbed to death.
