Man Killed In East Village Daylight Shooting, Police Say

Anthony Ramon, 42, was fatally shot on East Fourth Street Friday morning, according to police.

EAST VILLAGE, NY — A man was killed in a daylight shooting outside an East Village building Friday morning, police said.

Anthony Ramon, 42, was shot in the torso and leg on East Fourth Street near Avenue C about 9:10 a.m., police said.

Medics rushed Ramon to Bellevue Hospital but doctors were unable to save his life, according to the NYPD.

The New York Post reported Ramon got into an argument with another person before he was shot.

Ramon lived on Allen and East Houston streets, police said.
