Man Fatally Shot In Head In East Village, Police Say

EAST VILLAGE, NY — A man was fatally shot in the head in the East Village Sunday night, police said.

Cops found Brandon Atkinson, 39, near the corner of Avenue D and East Third Street about 11:20 p.m., police said.

Atkinson, of The Bronx, was taken to Bellevue Hospital where he was pronounced dead, police said.

There had been no arrests as of Monday morning and the investigation remains ongoing, police said.
