Museum of Reclaimed Urban Space Film Fest Starts Thursday
The theme of the fest this year is "people for the planet."

EAST VILLAGE, NY — The Museum of Reclaimed Urban Spaces knows some great ways to convert waste into resources. Its fourth annual film festival this year features pieces that deal with issues of saving the environment and recycling materials.
The theme this year is called "People and the Planet." The event will feature a series of short films and documentaries that pay tribute to community efforts around the country to try and preserve the environment, according to the event description.
"We host outdoor screenings in Community Gardens to support community development and to disseminate information about the importance of and special nature of the gardens in the Lower East Side," the event description says. Tickets for one night cost $7, and tickets for all four nights cost $20. Get your tickets here.
