New East Village Restaurant Offers Massive Dumplings the Size of a Bowl
They give you a straw so you can suck the broth out of the dumpling.

Drunken Dumpling opened in the East Village Wednesday, and the new restaurant is offering the XL Xiao Long Bao, which looks like someone took a regular-sized dumpling and pumped 100 other dumplings into it. The XL dumpling is so big, they give you a straw to suck the broth out of it.
While the massive dumpling is the most buzzed about item on Drunken Dumpling's menu, the restaurant is also offering all different kinds of soups, steamed buns, and dumplings. They've labeled them "farm-to-table soup dumplings."
Located at 137 First Ave. between Eighth and Ninth streets, the restaurant is run by a mother and son named Qihui Guan and Yuan Lee. Guan was a math professor who made her dumplings into a career when she emigrated to America 15 years ago, Grub Street reported.
