Second Person Shot In The Head In Lower Manhattan, Police Say
The broad daylight shooting Thursday on East 13th Street occurred just hours after a woman was killed near Union Square, police said.
EAST VILLAGE, NY — A man was shot in the head in the East Village, just hours after a similar shooting in Lower Manhattan left a woman dead, police told Patch.
A man in his twenties was shot in the head around 1:35 p.m. in front of 827 E. 13th St on Avenue D, police said.
He was rushed to Bellevue Hospital with injuries that may prove fatal, police said.

The shooter fled the scene in a face mask, police said.
The daylight shooting happened about eight hours after a 25-year-old woman was found shot in the head near the corner of East 14th Street and Irving Place, police said.

A search is underway for both suspects.
The police spokesperson told Patch that the shootings have not been connected, and that no arrests have happened in either case.
