EAST HAMPTON, NY — A beloved event is back in East Hampton Village Saturday as the 4th Annual Hamptons Pride Parade in East Hampton Village kicks off at noon.

John Cameron Mitchell, the original "Hedwig", will be kicking off the parade at noon and singing favorite tunes from the multiple-Tony-winning musical at Herrick Park afterward - for free, Tom House, president and founding director of Hamptons Pride, said.

The afternoon includes celebration, family fun, and live musical performances by the Bridgehampton Marimba Band, Grand Marshal Mitchell — writer, director, and star of “Hedwig & The Angry Inch,” and star of “Shrill” on Hulu — and DJ Watts.

The parade route begins on Main Street by the First Presbyterian Church, proceeding east before turning left onto Newton Lane, followed by a left onto Railroad Avenue and Lumber Lane before ending in Herrick Park.

"Help us keep Hamptons Pride eco-friendly! We ask attendees to refrain from bringing balloons, confetti, or any paper handouts to the parade, and to pick up after themselves," organizers said.

Also this year, the annual Pride celebration fundraiser at the LongHouse Reserve, set for June 21 from 5 p.m. to 8 p.m., will feature an innovative "Served with Pride" live and silent art auction, with one-of-a-kind works made especially for the event by 50 local artists.
