The Amagansett Historical Association held a reception Friday for the third annual “Amagansett Art: Across the Years” which can be seen at the Jackson Carriage House, in Amagansett, through September 14. The Carriage House is open from 2 until 6 in the evening every Friday, Saturday, and Sunday through Labor Day and thereafter on Saturday and Sunday from 2 to 5 p.m., or by pre-arranged appointment.

The show features work created by artists who have lived and worked in Amagansett, or who have drawn inspiration from the environs. All the work in the show is for sale. Proceeds from the sale will benefit the Amagansett Historical Association.

The Amagansett Historical Association promotes appreciation for the role the community has occupied in the East End’s legacy as an arts colony and works to preserve historical buildings within the community—such as the Jackson Carriage House and the Coast Guard and Life Saving Station on Atlantic Beach.

A diverse array of artists are included in the show which was curated by Elena Prohaska Glinn, Nina Gillman, Jeanie Trusty Stiles and Isabel Carmichael. A few of the artists included in the exhibition include Scott Bluedorn, Ralph Carpentier, Elliott Erwitt, Sue Gussow, Toby Haynes, Elizabeth Levine, Claire Nivola, Joe Pintauro, Ken Robbins, Anne Seelbach and Michelle Stuart.
